About the Role

As a Customer Care & Claims Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer experiences across multiple communication channels. You will be responsible for managing customer inquiries and claims, resolving issues efficiently, and working closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely and fair outcomes.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role based on-site in Onehunga, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering genuine, high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver a high standard of customer service while supporting business outcomes * Manage customer claims and inquiries in a timely and professional manner * Meet with customers face-to-face when vehicles are brought in for assessment or repair * Accurately assess claims and clearly communicate next steps and outcomes * Manage the end-to-end claims process in line with the Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act * Liaise with approved suppliers to ensure company processes are followed * Proactively manage customer expectations and minimise escalations * Ensure claims are settled promptly once all required information is received * Provide daily and weekly claims reporting and feedback to management

Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a claims or customer service environment * Must pass Pre employment Ministry of Justice and Drug checks * Must be reliable, committed, hardworking and honest * Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills * Professional telephone manner * Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment * Strong attention to detail with a positive and solution-focused mindset * Resilient, adaptable, and able to perform well under pressure * Confident handling difficult or upset customers via phone, email, and in person * Availability to work full-time on-site (Monday–Friday plus rostered Saturdays)

Desirable

* Knowledge of vehicles or automotive parts * Previous claims-handling experience * General geographical knowledge of New Zealand

Full-time, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:30pm + Saturday roster (40 hours per week)
Pay Details
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience
