In this role, you will support purchasing, stock management, and logistics by analysing sales, inventory, and supply data to improve demand visibility and stock optimisation. A key focus of the position is developing and applying data models and AI enabled forecasting techniques to improve planning accuracy and operational performance.

You’ll work closely with Purchasing, Sales, Logistics, and suppliers to ensure the right products are available at the right time and cost.

Key Responsibilities Analyse historical sales data, demand trends, seasonality, and customer behaviour to support demand planning decisions Develop, maintain, and improve demand forecasting models, including statistical and AI based approaches Monitor forecast accuracy and investigate variances, recommending continuous improvements Translate analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for Purchasing and Logistics teams Provide demand driven insights to support purchasing decisions and product availability Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders on product availability, ETAs, and order requirements Support Sales and internal teams with product information, quotations, and order status updates Assist with end to end purchasing processes, ensuring system records and purchase orders are accurate Monitor shortfall stock and backorders and recommend timely corrective actions Monitor daily stock levels and analyse inventory performance against targets Recommend optimal stock levels, reorder points, and safety stock using data driven analysis Run regular product and inventory reports to identify risks, shortages, or over stock situations Support monthly stock audits, investigating discrepancies and reporting findings Collect, clean, and maintain demand planning and distribution centre data Apply statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and AI techniques to improve planning accuracy Develop reports and dashboards that provide visibility of demand, inventory, and supply risks Present analytical findings and insights clearly in meetings with stakeholders Support projects, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives Build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams Share analytical techniques and respond to data related queries as required

Job Requirements

Requirements 2–3 years experience in demand planning is essential Proven experience in data analysis, forecasting, or inventory planning Strong analytical and problem solving skills Experience working with large datasets, models, and reporting tools Interest or experience in predictive analytics and AI enabled forecasting Strong communication skills with the ability to explain insights clearly to non technical stakeholders High attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative approach
