Experienced Welder Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder Fabricator with extensive experience in TIG and MIG welding, you will be x-ray tested, fabrication and assembly to join our dynamic team. Experience with Aluminum and steel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision, ensuring high-quality standards, and contributing to the successful completion of various fabrication projects. Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality TIG and MIG welding on various metal materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine weld requirements. Fabricate custom metal parts and assemblies, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Inspect welds and fabricated components for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards. Operate welding equipment and tools safely and maintain equipment in good working condition. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
This role is based in Matamata for the remainder of 2026 and then the business will relocate to Cambridge. Must be eligible to work in NZ with recent two years work history in fabrication/welding role
Job Requirements
Proven experience as a welder fabricator with a strong portfolio of TIG and MIG welding work. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Knowledge of welding safety standards and practices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Relevant certifications in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) are preferred. Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials regularly. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
