Concrete Truck Driver

A Horotiu based employer is seeking an experienced Class 4 Driver to join a busy construction transport operation operating in Hamilton. The role involves operating a concrete delivery vehicle and completing delivery runs to construction and customer sites across the region. This is a full time position offering strong earning potential, consistent hours and increased work availability during peak periods. The role involves operating a Class 4 concrete truck and delivering concrete safely and efficiently to construction sites.

Key responsibilities include. • Completing daily vehicle inspections and safely operating a Class 4 concrete truck. • Positioning the vehicle correctly for concrete loading at batching plants. • Confirming delivery locations schedules and site requirements. • Transporting concrete loads to construction sites in a timely manner. • Positioning the truck safely for unloading on site. • Assisting with concrete pouring and cleaning the chute or flute when required. • Following all health and safety procedures during loading transport and unloading. • Completing vehicle safety checks and ensuring the vehicle remains roadworthy. • Obtaining delivery confirmations and completing required documentation.

To be successful in this role candidates must meet the following requirements. • Hold a full New Zealand Class 4 Driver Licence. • Minimum 1 year of Class 4 driving experience. • Prior experience operating concrete trucks or working in construction transport is highly beneficial. • Experience with manual or range-change gearboxes is preferred. • Strong commitment to safety standards and site compliance. • Physically able to assist with concrete discharge and equipment cleaning. • Available for early starts and extended hours when required. • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test. • Willing to provide a clean NZ Police Ministry of Justice check.
