We are currently looking for a Refrigeration Engineer to join our awesome team working on a variety of projects in Auckland. This role will involve installation, servicing, and maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC systems, including complex plant and control systems.
Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
Fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs across a range of HVAC-R systems
Working on plant equipment including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems
Maintaining a high level of communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with industry standards
Providing guidance and leadership to less experienced staff
Completing job documentation accurately using systems such as Simpro
Job Requirements
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Trade Qualification (this is a must)
Experience working in supermarkets
Current Electrical Service Technician (EST) licence (or ability to obtain)
Full driver’s licence, this is a must due to usage of a company vehicle
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Experience working with commercial refrigeration systems and HVAC equipment
Experience with controls and/or BMS systems (desirable)
Experience with CO2 or other modern refrigerant systems (advantageous)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work across multiple projects and manage time effectively
A proactive approach and willingness to learn and grow
Good computer skills (Simpro experience beneficial but not essential)
Must be able to pass pre employment checks including drug testing and MOJ (MOJ must be clean)
Physically fit & strong and comfortable with Manual labour
Have an up to date CV on file
Flexibility to work additional hours when required
