About this job

A well established local employer is looking for a reliable, hands on factory worker with an interest in power tools to join their supportive and friendly team. About the Role This is a practical, physical role suited to someone who enjoys working with their hands and takes pride in producing quality work. You will be involved in the manufacturing and preparation of joinery products from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Cutting, sanding, and preparing wood materials Assembling joinery and wood products Packing finished items ready for delivery Operating a forklift to move materials where licenced Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe work environment Assisting with general factory and production duties as required

What we are Looking For

Reliable and punctual and able to work full time hours consistently Some experience using hand and or power tools Ability to follow instructions and work carefully Physically fit and comfortable with manual work Positive attitude and able to work well as part of a team Curious mindset with a willingness to learn and improve skills Forklift licence preferred, but not essential

Job Requirements

Need own reliable transport to get to factory in Tauriko (no public transport) Will need to be able to travel to Whakatane for initial training (approx 1 week) and to assist in relocating equipment to new site in Tauriko. Employer will discuss this and logistics around the travel. Employer adheres to lean manufacturing principals so always looking to streamline manufacturing processes.
