Support Worker Springdale

We’re seeking a caring and motivated Support Worker to make a real difference in Springdale, Hamilton. As a Support Worker, you’ll help clients achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives through practical and emotional support.

Tasks May Include: • Meal preparation • Community outings and integration • Medication support • Personal care (showering, toileting, etc.) • Home management tasks

Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand and be willing to undergo police vetting and other checks. Applicants must also live within 10-15km of Springdale and hold a full driver licence and own transport.

• A Level 2 or above Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or if you are working towards a Level 2. • Sound communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to pass a Ministry of justice check • Computer literacy and ability to use Apps • Ability to work competently with challenging behaviours • Well organised, with the ability to problem solve effectively and respond effectively under pressure • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team • Applicants must hold a full driver’s licence and have access to their own vehicle, as driving may be required during work to assist with some tasks, as well as for commuting to and from the workplace. • The ability to undertake the physical requirements of the position
