About this job
An Operator is responsible for the operation of heavy machinery and construction vehicles on New Energy construction projects. Duties involve performing a variety of tasks as directed, manual and equipment assisted, to ensure the project is completed to a high standard and according to plan. Operate heavy machinery such as, but not limited to, excavators, piling machines, trenchers and skid steers. • Safely operate construction vehicles to assist with material movements. • Learn, understand and comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), communicated procedures, and Inspection and Testing Checklists (ITCs). • Conduct routine checks on equipment and heavy machinery before and after use to ensure safety and functionality. • Perform manual tasks as required for the preparation, assembly and installation of project materials. Including but not limited to lifting, carrying, excavation and drilling. • Operate basic construction equipment and tools such as hand tools, power tools and machinery, under guidance. • Perform any additional duties as directed by management, including manual tasks, to support the overall success of the team and project. • Actively participate in daily toolbox talks.
Job Requirements
Required: Full Class 1 Drivers Licence Previous experience in a similar role Physical strength and stamina for manual labour tasks LUV unit standards (Light Utility Vehicle) EWP unit standards (Elevated Work Platform)
