Kitchen Assistant / Cook Location: Takanini

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant / Cook to join our team in Takanini. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is passionate about food preparation and maintaining high kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities: - Conduct quality checks on ingredients and prepared products to ensure freshness and proper storage. - Follow recipes accurately to maintain consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation. - Prepare and cook food using a range of kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, and knives. - Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling dishes. - Support garnishing and presentation to meet service and visual standards. - Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in line with food safety regulations. - Organise equipment, utensils, and tools before and after service. - Carry out opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and stock checks. - Assist with stock rotation and storage while minimising food waste. - Clean and sanitise equipment and kitchen areas during and after service. - Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines.
