Structural Steel Rigger/ Erector

A well established company based in Manukau City specialising in structural steel erection, fabrication and welding is seeking experienced Structural Steel Erectors, along with entry-level candidates who are eager to learn and develop their skills to join their busy team.

Daily duties include: • Assemble and erect structural steel components for construction projects. • Interpret construction drawings and specifications. • Conduct quality control checks to ensure standards are met. • Collaborate with managers and workers for safe, efficient installations. • Maintain health and safety standards, identifying and controlling hazards.

Any previous construction or metal work experience would be advantageous.

Ability to read and understand the GA (general arrangement) drawings and able to mark out and setup would be advantageous.

2-3 years of structural steel erection experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Site safe and EWP and working at height certificates preferred

Welding certification (beneficial but not required)

Motivated team player with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent English communication skills and customer focus.

Fit, reliable, with a full clean driver’s licence and own transport to get to different sites.

Able to work to deadlines and schedules, with flexibility to work weekends if needed

Able to pass pre-employment drug testing with a clear MOJ record.
