Retail Sales Assistant - Supermarket
About this job
We are seeking 4 Retail Sales Assistant for supermarkets specialising in Indian and South Asian products.
There are 2 positions available at the New Lynn supermarket and 2 positions available at the Botany supermarket.
Duties include:
• Keeping the store clean, organised and visually appealing • Ensuring shelves are fully stocked at all times • Assisting customers and understanding their needs • Recommending and displaying products that suit customer preferences • Greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly manner • Operating the till and handling cash/point-of-sale transactions • Helping receive and unpacking new stock deliveries • Staying up to date with product knowledge • Following all company policies and procedures

Job Requirements
• Great customer service and communication skills • Some knowledge of Indian and South Asian Grocery products will be advantageous as this is the main range of products • Candidates must be available to work rostered shifts (shifts are rostered during busy periods) • Must be available to work weekends as these are the busiest days • Role involves some heavy lifting • Must be able to pass an MOJ & Police Check • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

- Monday to Sunday - rostered shifts between 9:00am & 8:30pm (32 hours per week)

- $25 - $28 per hour, dependant on experience
