About this job
Are you a caring, empathetic person who has at least 2 years experience in aged care? A local family run care home in Morrinsville is looking for the right people to join their small, happy team. The role involves;
- To attend to the personal and psychological needs of aged residents - Helping the residents to feel comfortable and happy - Ensure a high standard of general care, rehabilitation and motivation to remain active and alert - To observe the condition of all residents and report changes to Registered Nurse - Document in all appropriate records - To treat each Resident with dignity and respect at all times - To include the residents in discussions and decisions affecting them - To maintain the Residents level of independence at all times - Help to ensure the nursing home environment is as 'home like' as possible - Familiarise self with 'Code of Residents Rights' and observe these at all times - Observe occupational health and safety regulations and infection control guidelines when interacting with Residents, Staff and visitors at all times - Observe and work with all policies and procedures as per manuals
Job Requirements
At least 2 years experience in a dementia or psychogeriatric care Reliable Physically fit Psychologically strong
