Storeperson

This is an opportunity to join a great team and a business known for supplying local manufactures with a high level of service and product. You will largely be in the warehouse managing stock that comes in and preparing it for specialised or custom orders. You will be dealing with a range of textiles, as well as specialised components and parts for a variety of industries and settings.

You will be a team player and pitch in to help as needed to ensure operations run smoothly. There is heavy lifting required, and you will need to use your judgement and problem solving regularly to navigate the best way to handle the range of items while working efficiently. You will work to develop a good understanding of the product range while also utilising a stock tracking system to keep inventory organised. This role will also see you occasionally supporting customers at front of house and is an excellent opportunity to build your customer service skills. To succeed you will be able to communicate effectively and understand customer needs to find the right product for them. You will also understand the importance of maintaining and building customer relationships and be willing to go the extra mile when needed.

You may come from a background in pick/packing, logistics/distribution, or a customer service background and want to build your skillset working behind the scenes. It would be advantageous if you have an OSH or F licence, or experience with dangerous goods. However, this business is keen to invest in the right person so if you have the right attitude; this is an opportunity to upskill.
