Traffic Control Worker

The Traffic Management (TTM) Worker is responsible for assisting with the safe setup, maintenance, and removal of temporary traffic management systems on roadways and worksites. The role ensures the safety of road users, pedestrians, workers, and the public while works are carried out. Work ranges around the South Taranaki area. No two days the same.
- Assist with the setup, monitoring, and removal of traffic management equipment (cones, signs, barriers, controllers, etc.) in accordance with approved TMPs (Traffic Management Plans) - Direct traffic using stop/go paddles and hand signals where required - Monitor traffic flow and adjust setups under the direction of the STMS - Ensure pedestrian and vehicle access is maintained safely
Job Requirements
- Good communication skills - Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions - Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions - Physically fit and capable of standing for long periods - Strong awareness of safety and attention to detail - Experience in traffic management, civil works, or construction. - TTM tickets advantageous - Full or restricted NZ driver licence - Must be available for weekend work - Must pass MOJ - Must pass drug check
