Painter Assistant
About this job
Job Duties: Assist with painting and renovation tasks across residential or commercial sites South Auckland. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and protecting adjacent surfaces. Support painters in applying paint, varnish, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Set up scaffolding, ladders, and drop sheets to protect work areas. Load and unload paint and materials from vehicles or storage. Clean equipment and maintain tidy work areas before, during, and after tasks. Collaborate with team members on multi-trade construction or renovation projects. Adhere to site health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
Job Requirements
Minimum experience of 6 months in painting industry. Physically fit with no back or knee injuries. Knowledge and understanding about different painting related tools. Full licence with own transport. Smoke Free. Comfortable with manual type labour Able to pass pre employment checks like drug testing and MOJ check (MOJ must be clean) Willing to work weekends when required
