Automotive Mechanic needed to join our team in Tuakau!
About the Role We are looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic with 3–5 years of hands-on experience working on Japanese Detail Market and European vehicles. This role focuses on servicing, diagnosing, repairing cars in a performance-driven workshop.
Key Responsibilities: • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on JDM and European vehicles • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults • Perform repairs on engines, gearboxes, suspension, braking, and drivetrain systems • Install aftermarket and performance parts for street and race cars • Assist with race car preparation and setup • Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and deadlines • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop • Complete job records and documentation accurately

Job Requirements
Skills & Experience Required: • 3–5 years’ experience as a mechanic • Strong knowledge of Japanese Detail Market and European vehicles • Experience with performance vehicles (advantageous) • Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills • High attention to detail and workmanship • Ability to work independently and in a team • Reliable with strong work ethic • Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles Qualifications: • National Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Level 4) or equivalent • Full, clean New Zealand driver licence
