An Otorohanga piggery is looking for a stock person to work in their farrowing department.

A calm manner is essential and stockman ship skills are beneficial. You need to be keen, reliable with your own reliable transport to get to work. You will need to be good at keeping records with an excellent maternal nature. Duties in this role are as follows: - Monitoring sows giving birth, watching for signs of labour and assisting with delivering. - Piglet care, ensuring they are well looks after birth. - Prevention of piglet deaths through good caring procedures of the piglets. - Completing specific health procedures to ensure quality care. - Feeding and watering as required for good health. - Keeping pens clean and up to hygiene standards. - Record keeping is very important to ensure piglets are being well look after and well monitored. - Preparing pens for birth and other requirements. Job Requirements

- Applicant’s who are calm, have your own reliable transport - ability to pass a drug test -An up to date CV with relevant references required. - Criminal convictions to be disclosed and may be considered on a case by case basis
