About this job

A large seafood processing company has fixed-term vacancies in their Nelson land based fishmeal plant for 2 Trainee Fishmeal Operator.

The role is to process the secondary and waste products from primary fish fillet production into value added products like fishmeal and fertilisers through rendering and drying processes.

The normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, worked Monday – Friday, 6.00am to 3.00pm Or 2.30 10.30pm however due to the variable nature of the business, the successful candidate must be flexible to work different and additional overtime hours as required.

To be successful in this role, you must:

Have a mechanical aptitude and have a basic computer literacy.

Be willing to learn and take instruction, working cooperatively with a small and dedicated team who are passionate about doing a great job.

Be reliable to attend work and be punctual for shift starts

Job Requirements

A satisfactory pre-employment drug test, MOJ and a physical medical assessment will be required to be considered for this role
