Farm assistant
About this job
Assisting with milking and maintenance hygiene standards in the milking. Feeding stock and assisting with pasture allocation and stock movement. Monitoring livestock and reporting any sign of illness or injury. Assisting with calving, mating and general animal care. Cleaning farm equipment sheds and work area. Assisting with fencing, water, and general farm maintenance. Operating basic farm machinery and equipment as required. Following farm policies and procedures for animal welfare and health & safety. Supporting the herd manager and other staff with day-to-day farm operations.
Job Requirements
At least 2 years of experience or NZQA level 4 or above.
- Days of work
- 7 Days : Shiftwork Start 3.30am to 8.00 am then start back @2.00 pm to 5.00pm (30 hours per week)
- Pay Details
- $24.00 Minimum to $29.00 depend on experience.
