To support Financial Mentors in working alongside individuals and whanau to build confidence capability and self-sufficiency in managing their finances.

This is a training role developing the skills knowledge and practice required to become a Financial Mentor.

-Client Support Under Supervision. -Assist with assessing clients financial situations and identifying goals. -Support the development of budgets debt schedules and cashflow plans. -Work alongside clients to implement and maintain financial plans. -Provide practical support encouragement and education to clients and whanau. -Attend client appointments with mentors and progressively take on responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who: • Is interested in supporting people with money management and life skills • Has strong listening and interpersonal skills • Demonstrates a non-judgemental, respectful approach • Is reliable, organised, and willing to learn • Has basic numeracy and computer skills (Word, Excel, email) • Can communicate effectively (written and verbal) • Is able to work both independently and as part of a team • Demonstrates integrity and maintains confidentiality • Has a commitment to working in a culturally responsive way, including Te Tiriti o Waitangi • Willingness and ability to complete FinCap training

Full Class 1 license
