About this job

Dynamic and experienced Afternoon Shift Laboratory Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will initially undertake training on the day shift before transitioning into the afternoon shift role.

As the Laboratory Analyst you will play a pivotal role in conducting routine lab testing as a part of production QC, and various Laboratory analysis, experiments, and tests to support our research and product development initiatives.

Your expertise in scientific methodologies, data analysis, and attention to detail will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our results, within the GMP/ ACVM framework.

To be considered for this position you should demonstrate the following: A positive can-do attitude, self-motivated with good time management. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. A working knowledge of GMP.

The ability to perform a variety of laboratory tests and analysis using established scientific procedures and protocols. Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions for experimentation, ensuring accuracy and precision.

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as HPLC and the AAS. Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure proper calibration and functioning. Collect, record, and interpret data with meticulous attention to detail. Maintaining thorough and accurate analytical records.

Analyse experimental results, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions to support project goals. Assist in the development and validation of new analytical methods and protocols as needed. Ability to multitask where required. Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and contribute to a safe and organised work environment. Flexibility and adaptability for ever-changing requirements and deadlines. The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. An understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace. Wiliness to learn and to continuously upskill. Ability to problem solve. Reliable, punctual, and determined to be at work every day.

Job Requirements

A tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.

Previous laboratory experience, ideally within a GMP, pharmaceutical, agricultural chemical, or food manufacturing environment.

Experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, AAS, or spectrophotometry would be highly advantageous.
