Support Worker - Auckland Central

We are seeking an empathetic and motivated Part time Male Support Worker and also a Female Support worker with the preference Mandarin speaker to join our specialist team covering these areas; Auckland CBD, Grey Lynn, Parnell, Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, St. Marys Bay, Kingsland, New market, Mt Roskill, one tree hill, royal oak, three kings Epson, Greenlane, Onehunga.

You will provide both practical and emotional support to help clients achieve their goals and maintain independence.

Your responsibilities may include: - Meal preparation - Personal care (showering, toileting, grooming) - Administering medication - Supporting community outings and social integration - Home management and daily living support

Tues-Sun: 7am-7.30am, 12pm-1pm, 5pm-6pm Only Sundays 10am-11am are included.

We are looking for

- Have an updated CV with at least 2 contactable referees - Live within 10-15km of the Auckland central areas. - Previous caregiving or healthcare experience (desirable but not essential) - Computer literacy and ability to use Apps - Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work alternative weekends - High level of resilience, with an ability to cope with change and to be flexible - Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and a commitment to meeting the cultural needs of Maori - Health and wellbeing level 2 or above certificate. If you don't have one we can assist the successful applicant to obtain one through the online course. - Be able to pass an MOJ check - Hold a Full NZ driver licence and reliable transport - Female speak Mandarin (patient preference)
