Business Community Lead

Make a real impact in your local community. Local employer is looking for a proactive, community-minded person to help support and strengthen the Miramar Peninsula business area. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
What you'll do: As the Business Community Lead, you'll be the go-to person for local businesses and help deliver the Miramar Peninsula Business Improvement District (BID) programme.
Your work will include: - Building strong relationships with local businesses - Supporting and promoting community and business initiatives - Coordinating projects and reporting progress - Working with Wellington City Council and community partners - Helping with day-to-day administration, communications, and marketing - Supporting events and activities that bring people to the Peninsula
Bonus points for: - Living in Miramar or having strong ties to the community - Experience working with local businesses or community groups
Job Requirements
We'd love someone who: - Is great at building relationships and communicating with all kinds of people - Enjoys working independently and taking initiative - Has experience with project coordination or community/business engagement - Is confident representing an organisation publicly - Has good organisational and admin skills (bonus if you’re familiar with Xero) - Understands or is willing to learn how local government processes work
Must be able to pass an MOJ check.

- Monday - Friday between 8am - 4pm (Some flexibility required for meetings/events that occasionally fall outside these hours) (20 hours per week)
