Kitchen Hand/Deep Fry Cook

A local Whanganui restaurant and function centre is looking for a kitchen hand to work in their restaurant on a part-time basis. Duties will include: - Food preparation washing, cutting, peeling and chopping of vegetables and preparing salads. - Deep frying of chips, hot dogs, roasted potatoes, chicken nuggets, scallops, prawns and fish. - Washing dishes and polishing cutlery . There will also be some restocking and general cleaning around the kitchen area. Previous experience as a kitchen hand is preferred. Having a food handling certificate, barista skills and/or any bar experience is ideal but not necessary. There may be some extra hours working later if the restaurant is busy.
Job Requirements
Must be able to pass a police check. To be the successful candidate you must be punctual, reliable, be self motivated and have great communication skills. Must be flexible as the hours may vary.

- Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm, Saturday night from 5pm to 9pm and on Sunday from 11am to 12.30pm and 5pm to 9pm. (11.5 hours per week)
