Traffic Controller

A Takanini-based traffic management employer is seeking full-time Traffic Controllers to join their team. Work will be across various sites throughout Auckland depending on project locations.

Responsibilities: - Direct vehicles using stop/go signs or handheld radios - Set up and remove traffic management equipment (cones, signs, barriers) - Ensure the safety of workers, drivers, and pedestrians - Monitor traffic flow and adjust as needed - Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members - Respond quickly to emergencies or unsafe situations - Arrive early to help set up traffic management plans -Check that signage and equipment are correctly placed - Stand in designated control points to guide traffic - Maintain clear communication with other controllers - Pack down equipment at the end of the shift

- Own reliable transport and Must hold a NZ Full Driver Licence - Able to pass drug & alcohol testing and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check - Solid work experience supported by good references - Relevant skills and experience as a Traffic Controller - Physically fit and capable to perform on-site duties - Strong safety awareness and adherence to H&S regulations - Current Traffic Controller (TC) / Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) certifications - Reliable team player with a willingness to learn - Minimum of 1 year of proven skills and experience in traffic control - No training provided and candidates must hit the ground running - Able to provide evidence of skills and experience
