We are currently looking for an empathetic and passionate Support Worker across our different services including Community & Rehabilitation, Disability and Social Services. Whether you are looking for flexibility around other commitments or would prefer regular rostered shifts, we have a variety of permanent full-time and part-time options on offer.
What does a Support Worker do? As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below: • Meal preparation • Community outings and integration • Giving medication • Personal cares (showering, toileting etc) • Home management • What's in it for you?

You will earn between $ 23.97 - 29.68 per hour, depending on experience and qualification.

What are we looking for? • Attitude - a desire to help and support others, achieving excellence in all you do! • Previous healthcare or care-giving experience is desirable, although not essential • Excellent communication skills • Healthcare qualifications are advantageous • Most positions require a full NZ drivers' licence and your own reliable transport You must possess the right to work in New Zealand and a willingness to undergo police vetting and additional checks in order to be considered for this position.
Mainly after school support. Mon-Fri between 3pm-6pm. Some day shifts and wknds maybe required. 10-15hrs per wk. Hours could potentially increase.

Job Requirements
Essential: • An updated CV with at least 2 contactable referees • High level of resilience, with an ability to cope with change and to be flexible • Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and a commitment to meeting the cultural needs of Maori • Sound communication and interpersonal skills • Computer literacy and ability to use Apps • Responsible, with a well-developed sense of judgement and personal integrity • Ability to work competently with challenging behaviours • Well organised, with the ability to problem solve effectively and respond effectively under pressure • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Hold a current Full drivers licence is required for many services • The ability to undertake the physical requirements of the position
