Process Engineer
About this job
Join Cetogenix, a fast-growing New Zealand climate tech company turning organic waste into renewable energy and carbon resources. As a Process Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, installing, and commissioning innovative process systems as we move from pilot technology to commercial deployment.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead process design for system upgrades and new plant installations, focusing on fluid transfer, heat transfer, and high-pressure systems. • Develop technical documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balances, equipment specifications, and commissioning plans. • Coordinate procurement of process equipment, instrumentation, and mechanical components, including vendor engagement. • Support on-site commissioning, plant start-ups, troubleshooting, and system optimisation. • Ensure installations meet quality, safety, and performance standards. • Provide practical engineering input to improve system reliability and performance as deployments scale. • The role is based in Rotorua, with periodic travel required to support installation, commissioning, and performance monitoring of Ceto-Boost systems throughout New Zealand and internationally.
About You: You’re a practical, delivery-focused engineer with strong technical foundations and experience taking process systems from design through to commissioning. You thrive in fast-moving environments where engineering ideas quickly become real-world plant solutions and enjoy being part of an innovative start-up making a real impact.
