About this job

We are seeking a practical and reliable Charter Supervisor to support the day to day delivery of charter transport services based in Hamilton.

This is a hands on operational role that requires strong organisation, flexibility, and the ability to step in wherever needed. You will play a key role in coordinating drivers and fleet resources, managing customer and operational issues, and ensuring services run safely, smoothly, and on time. You will work closely with drivers and customers, manage compliance requirements, and support the wider operation through active leadership and problem-solving. Driving duties will form part of this role when needed to gap fill.

Role and Responsibilities: • Supervise daily charter operations to ensure safe, punctual, and compliant service delivery • Manage driver coordination including rostering, training support, and fleet allocation • Oversight of driver and vehicle compliance requirements • Investigate and resolve accidents, incidents, complaints, and customer feedback • Prepare charter quotes and complete operational and depot administration tasks • Engage with new and existing customers to support charter service growth • Promote health and safety practices and participate in investigations when required • Respond to KPI exceptions and operational issues as they arise • Participate in a rotating weekend and after hours on call roster • Communicate effectively with drivers, staff, and customers across multiple tasks • Assist with additional operational duties as required, including driving

Job Requirements

• Class 2 licence required. Class 4 and P endorsement an advantage • Previous experience in transport, operations, or service based supervision roles • Strong customer service and communication skills • Practical leadership style with a willingness to lead by example • High attention to detail with good administrative and Microsoft Office skills • Ability to plan, organise, and coordinate people, vehicles, and schedules • Comfortable working in a fast paced and changing environment • Flexible, reliable, and prepared to take a hands on approach to getting the job done • Fluent English speaker • Sense of humour a must!

Days of work
Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work 8:00 am to 4:00 pm - on-call duties as needed (40 hours per week)
