Sewing Machinist

An Invercargill textile manufacturer is looking for a Sewing Machinist to join their team. This is a full time Monday to Friday role in a modern, bright, well organised facility with excellent on site amenities and plenty of parking. We do not require previous sewing experience. What matters most is your attitude and willingness to learn. Full training will be provided. If you do have experience in garment construction or industrial sewing, even better.
What You Will Do • Operate a variety of industrial sewing machines • Use plain sewers, overlockers, buttonhole machines, button attaching machines, bartacks, and needle feed machines • Hit daily production targets while keeping quality high • Work closely with a supportive, friendly team
Job Requirements
• Prior experience in garment construction and industrial sewing would be advantageous • Able to work 9 hours per day, 5 days per week • Reliable, organised, and confident managing your time • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Comfortable working with daily targets • Great attention to detail • Able to maintain a reasonable level of fitness
