Panelbeaters Assistant/Car Groomer

This role assists Panel beaters with vehicle repairs, maintains workshop cleanliness and safety, and provides a high quality car valet service to ensure vehicles are returned to customers in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities Workshop Support Assist panel beaters with vehicle preparation, disassembly, masking, sanding, and basic repair tasks. Move vehicles in and out of the workshop safely. Maintain clean, organised work bays and general workshop areas. Assist with inventory checks, stock handling, and materials preparation. Operate basic workshop tools and equipment under supervision. Support the team with general labouring duties as required.

Car Valet and Vehicle Presentation

Complete full interior and exterior valets for repaired vehicles before customer collection. Vacuuming, upholstery wipe downs, dashboards, and interior detailing. Exterior washing, drying, tyre shine, window cleaning, and finishing touches. Identify any post repair presentation issues and report them to senior staff. Ensure all vehicles leave the workshop clean, polished, and professionally presented.

Health, Safety and Compliance

Follow all workplace health and safety procedures. Use protective equipment and safe work practices at all times. Immediately report hazards, unsafe practices, or equipment issues. Maintain a tidy and hazard free workshop environment. Skills & Experience Essential

A strong work ethic with willingness to learn and take direction. Basic mechanical or vehicle knowledge, or interest in the automotive industry. Good attention to detail, especially with cleaning and finishing work. Ability to work in a fast paced, physical environment. At least a Learners driver licence and ability to attain a Restricted ASAP
