Sales Assistant / Checkout Operator – Katikati A busy hardware and garden store based in Katikati are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Sales Assistant / Checkout Operator to join their team.
About the Role As a Checkout Operator, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions efficiently while delivering high-quality customer service at the point of sale. You’ll play a key role in ensuring every customer has a smooth and positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities • Processing customer purchases accurately and efficiently • Providing friendly and helpful customer service • Assisting customers with general enquiries • Maintaining a clean and organised checkout area • Supporting the wider team when required
What Is On Offer • Full training provided • Supportive team environment • Rate: $24 – $27 per hour (depending on experience) • 32 hours per week, rostered over 7 days
Looking For • Positive attitude and strong work ethic • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Reliability and flexibility to work across a 7-day roster • Previous retail or checkout experience is an advantage (but not essential)
