Maintenance Technician

A local employer is seeking a full time Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm.

Key Responsibilities • Machinery and Equipment Maintenance: Carry out repairs and maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure all machinery remains fully operational and downtime is minimised. Perform troubleshooting and fault finding across mechanical and electrical systems. Complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate records. Coordinate scheduled maintenance for key equipment including forklifts and air conditioning systems. • Equipment and Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to machinery and equipment. Design and build tools, jigs, and devices to improve production efficiency and safety. • Installation and Setup: Prepare and commission new machinery for operational use. Install and modify workplace infrastructure including shelving, lighting, and workstations. Support warehouse layout improvements and material flow optimisation. • Facility and Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain building facilities including grounds, racking, and compressed air systems. Organise and coordinate servicing of facility systems.

• Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent hands on experience • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in a maintenance or technician role in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment • Experience with machinery maintenance, fault finding, and repairs • Exposure to preventative maintenance systems and scheduling • Experience using tools and workshop equipment • Fabrication skills such as basic welding and cutting are an advantage
