Driver - Factory hand

Looking for a reliable and safety-focused Class 2 Driver / Factory hand to join their team in a full-time, permanent role. This position involves safely operating a Class 2 vehicle in line with New Zealand road laws and company policies, conducting pre-start and post-trip inspections, and ensuring all loads are securely restrained and compliant with standards. You will be responsible for accurately completing logbooks and adhering to work time and rest break requirements, as well as promptly reporting any mechanical issues to management. In addition to driving duties, you will assist with general yard tasks including maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of fleet vehicles, supporting draw assembly, restocking work benches, and ensuring all tools are safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose. The ideal candidate will hold a full Class 2 licence, be physically fit, reliable, and have a strong commitment to health and safety, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Requirements
Full Class 2 driver licence (essential) Previous experience in a driving or transport role Good understanding of NZ transport regulations and health & safety practices Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Days of work
- Monday - Friday from 3am - 6pm depending on location of travel. (40 hours per week)
