2 x Heavy Truck Drivers - Kerikeri

A trucking company is seeking two reliable and experienced Class 5 Heavy Truck Drivers to join their team in Kerikeri. This role involves the safe and efficient delivery of food products within a fast-paced supply chain and distribution environment.

Drivers will work rostered shifts (Monday to Saturday), with early starts from between 2am - 3am, and schedules provided in advance to support planning and work-life balance. This is a physically active role where health and safety is critical, and professionalism, punctuality, and reliability are essential.

Key Responsibilities - Safely operate Class 5 heavy combination vehicles - Deliver food products in a timely and efficient manner - Load and unload goods using a forklift where required - Handle and transport goods in line with Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations - Conduct pre-start vehicle checks and ensure vehicle maintenance standards are met - Follow all health and safety procedures and compliance requirements - Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communication with dispatch - Provide professional and courteous customer service at delivery points.

Job Requirements: Licensing & Certifications (Mandatory) - Full Class 5 Driver Licence with a minimum of 2 years’ experience - Current (F) Forklift Endorsement - Current (D) Dangerous Goods Endorsement - Clean driving record

Experience & Skills - Minimum 2 years’ experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution environment - Experience in fast-paced supply chain operations - Strong health and safety awareness - Ability to problem solve and think logically under pressure - Good communication skills (verbal and written) - Organised, efficient, and able to meet delivery deadlines

Personal Attributes: - Reliable with strong timekeeping and attendance - Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks - Professional, approachable, and customer-focused - Able to work early morning shifts (from 2-3am) and rostered schedules - Self-motivated and able to work independently

Pre-employment Requirements: - Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test - Must have a clear Ministry of Justice (MOJ) criminal record check - Must have reliable transport to get to work.
