Support Worker - Kensington/Morningside

We’re on the lookout for empathetic, passionate, and motivated Support Worker to join our Community team in Whangarei, Northland. As a Support Worker, you’ll help clients achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives through practical and emotional support. Tasks may include: • Meal preparation • Community outings and integration • Medication support • Personal care (showering, toileting, etc.) • Manual handling, and hoist transfers • Home management tasks What You’ll Get:

There are 5 positions available: Position 1: 27.5hrs weekly, Avail shifts Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat and Sun Position 2: 25.5 hrs, Available shifts Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sun Position 3: 20.5hrs, available shifts Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun Position 4: 20 hrs, available shifts Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun Position 5:20hrs, available shifts Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand and be willing to undergo police vetting and other checks. • Have an updated CV with at least 2 contactable referees • Sound communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to pass a Ministry of justice check • Computer literacy and ability to use Apps • Ability to work competently with challenging behaviours • Well organised, with the ability to problem solve effectively and respond effectively under pressure • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team • Applicants must hold a full driver’s licence and have access to their own vehicle, as driving may be required during work to assist with some tasks, as well as commuting to and from the workplace • The ability to undertake the physical requirements of the position • Level 2 in Health and Wellbeing preferred but not essential to apply • Applicants must live within at least 10-15km of Kensington/Morningside
