Our highly reputable employer, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a Specialist Trades Apprentice to join their team.
You will: - Gain practical experience by working on-site and being involved in daily construction activities including physical laboring - Maintain and check all mechanical gear on-site at the start of each shift - Ensure critical items of plant and equipment are 100% available when required - Assist production crew if and when needed - Ensure the efficient and effective operation of equipment on site - Ensure that construction and engineering activities are performed to a high standard
This is a chance to begin a career in construction, as such its critical you have a genuine interest in committing to a career within the construction industry and have a desire to learn and develop new skills.
An interest in mechanical side projects such as welding and stainless steel fitting would be ideal. Previous construction experience would be advantageous but not mandatory.
Job Requirements
- Physically fit and healthy with no current or historical injuries - Pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol and medical tests (subject to monthly checks) - Undertake pre-employment criminal background check (minor convictions will be considered on a case by case basis) - Full class 1 license with own reliable transport - Previous labouring, construction, fabrication or welding experience advantageous but not mandatory - Health and safety focused - Up to date presentable CV with two contactable references - Good communications skills - Reliable with a strong work ethic - Attitude is key for this employer

- Mon-Fri, 7am-5.30pm. Occasional optional Saturday overtime available. (45 hours per week)
