Warehouse and Service Technician

An Asbestos Wholesale company is seeking a Warehouse and Service Technician to join their team in Lower Hutt on a full-time basis who is willing to learn how to service and re-certify equipment, assist with deliveries, and general warehouse duties.

• Hands-on warehouse duties, responsible for picking, receiving, loading and unloading of freight trucks (Pick, Packing, dispatching) • Correct and conscientious ordering of products • Assisting in the undertaking all stocktakes, bi weekly, monthly and annually • Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment • Undertaking the planned maintenance of machinery and equipment • Required to decontaminate the customers plant in the approved manner in accordance with the methodology and training provided • Assist with sales and customer support • Ad-hoc duties to support the team as required by management • Required to undertake training and attend courses as required by the employer to enable him/her to fulfil their duties in a safe and efficient manner • On occasion will be required to make site deliveries of customers purchases and serviced equipment.

Full NZ Class 1 clean licence essential, Forklift license an advantage. Previous Asbestos removal experience is desirable, however training is available to attain Class A&B certs. Must be capable and comfortable with wearing a full face respirator and be clean shaven due to this. Forklift endorsement desirable but not essential as training will be given. Be capable of lifting up to 25kgs. Be familiar in using a computer with Microsoft suite or capable of learning.
