About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Carpenter / Foreman to join our growing team. The role involves running residential building sites across a range of projects including townhouse developments, new build homes, and residential renovations.

You will be responsible for leading a small team on site, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed to a high standard, safely, and on schedule. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and can keep a site organised and productive.

Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of carpenters, apprentices, and labourers - Oversee day-to-day site operations - Read and interpret building plans and specifications - Coordinate subcontractors and deliveries - Ensure work meets NZ Building Code and quality standards - Maintain a safe and compliant worksite - Plan workflow and manage timelines - Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other trades - Maintain a professional and tidy site environment

Job Requirements

- Qualified carpenter with strong residential construction experience -Must pass MOJ check + drug testing - Proven ability to run building sites independently - Experience in townhouse developments, new builds, and renovations - Strong leadership and organisational skills - Ability to read plans and problem solve on site - Good communication and team management - Reliable, motivated, and takes pride in quality workmanship - Full driver’s licence and own tools

Preferred: - Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) - Site Safe certification - Experience managing multiple trades on medium-sized residential projects

Days of work
Monday to Friday, typically 7:30am – 4:30pm, with occasional longer days depending on project requirements. (40 hours per week)
