Welder

Looking for a skilled tradie who can join, cut and repair metal parts and structures using specialized high- heat equipment. Able to read blueprints, prepare materials, and use techniques like MIG,TIG, and stick welding to create permanent bonds in industries ranging from construction to manufacturing to shipbuilding.

Core Responsibilities and Duties Joining Metals: Using heat to melt and fuse metal pieces using welding torches or arcs. Reading Blueprints: Interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications to plan layouts. Fabrication: Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts to create components or structures. Maintenance & Repair: Fixing worn or broken metal parts on machinery and equipment. Quality Inspection: Examining finished products for defects, structural integrity, and compliance with standards. Safety Adherence: Operating machinery while wearing protective gear (masks, gloves, fire-resistant clothing) to prevent injuries.

Work environment and Physical Demands Welders work in diverse settings, including factories, shipyards, construction sites, and repair shops. It is a physically demanding job that requires: Physical Strength and Dexterity Spatial Orientation Attention to detail

- Be skilled in welding - Hold all the tickets including, heights, confined space and gas detection and site safe (if expired we may be able to assist with this). - (MIG, TIG, Stick and Flux-Cored) - Full drivers license and own transport to get to different sites - Be able to pass drug test and have clean MOJ record - Please apply with an updated CV
