A local vibrant cafe serving a small all day set menu of toasties, focaccia, sides, salads, and a curated pastry display featuring both house made and sourced baked goods is searching for their new chef extraordinaire. We pride ourselves on fresh high quality food and a welcoming cafe experience.
What You Will Be Doing We are looking for an experienced Chef or Baker to join our team and help the business grow. This role is perfect for someone who works well in a fast paced cafe environment, is passionate about food, and enjoys contributing ideas to menu development.
As part of our kitchen team you will play a key role in maintaining consistent quality, developing new recipes, and supporting the smooth running of our cafe including:
• Prepare and plate breakfast menu items to a high standard • Cook and assemble all day menu items including toasties, focaccia, sides, and salads • Bake items for the pastry display and manage sourced baked goods • Assist with menu development and recipe creation • Follow all food safety and hygiene rules • Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and efficient • Manage ingredient prep and stock rotation • Work with front of house staff to support smooth service • Help the business grow through quality and efficiency

Job Requirements
Must Have • Set menu and cabinet cafe experience • Level 4 culinary or higher is a bonus • Proven experience as a chef or baker in a cafe, bakery, or restaurant • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene rules • Able to work on your own and run a busy kitchen well • Creative flair for recipes and menu ideas • Strong organisation and time management skills • Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to high quality food • Pre-employment checks will be required • DL Full class 1 or Restricted

- Monday, Wednesday and Friday 6.30am - 12.30pm Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 7.30am - 12.30pm (30 hours per week)
