A popular Titirangi takeaway known for fresh, beer-battered fish, burgers, and high-quality fish tacos is looking for a Casual Cook to work Friday to Sunday evenings.

Duties include:

• Cooking pre-made burger patties on the grill • Assembling burgers with cheese, fillings, and sauces • Making sure food looks great before it goes out • Keeping up with a fast-paced service • Taking customer orders clearly and getting them right • Being friendly and helpful with customers • Using the till and POS system to take payments • Handling cash and card payments accurately • Keeping your workspace clean and tidy • Showing up well-presented and ready to work

Previous experience preparing burgers and cooking on a grill

As this is a customer-facing role where you will be taking orders, you must take pride in your personal presentation and have excellent customer service skills.

Confident operating a till, EFTPOS and point-of-sale (POS) system

Be prepared to do a one and a half hour unpaid job trial to demonstrate grill and customer service skills

Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment

Minor convictions may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Must be able to get to work reliably
