Class 2 or 4 Drivers

A Green Island based waste and recycling business are seeking drivers to join their team and assist with the kerbside collection service.
As a driver you will expect: - Job security, guaranteed 40+ hours a week and positive working environment with opportunity to grow based on your performance - Training by our in house driver trainer to operate our vehicles, including high quality brand new trucks. - To be looked after with annual health checks, wellbeing training programmes, free breakfast, fruit, electrolytes, vitamins, clothing and boots to name a few - Discounts at retailers such as Bunnings, Placemakers, Noel Leemings and more.
In return we expect from our drivers: - Hold a class 1 full licence. If you are motived, we can support you to gain higher licenses with the help of our driver trainers for the right candidate - Complete a daily check on your vehicle before driving each morning - Be able to work early morning, on the weekends and over eight hours on occasions if required - Be physically fit and enjoy keeping fit, some of our drivers walk 14k steps a day - Turn up to work every day on time and leave when your shifts finished - Operate our trucks and equipment in a safe and responsible manner Work with team mates to give our customers great service every day
Job Requirements
- Hold a clean Class 1 licence. Class 2 or above is advantageous but not essential. - Be able to work early in the morning and on the weekends and over 8 hours on occasions if required. - Be physically fit and enjoy keeping fit, some of the drivers walk 14K steps a day. - Turn up to work every day on time and leave when your shift’s finished. Reliability is critical. - Operate trucks and equipment in a safe and responsible manner. - Pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check as well as a medical assessment - Up to date presentable CV and two contactable references - Reliable transport to Green Island based work site - Strong work ethic with good communication skills
