Truck Driver (Class 4 or Class 5)

Wiri-based employer is currently seeking a Truck Driver ( Class 4 or Class 5) to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate a commercial truck to transport goods and materials to various locations. • Comply with all traffic laws and regulations and drive defensively to ensure the safety of yourself and others. • Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment as required. • Maintain accurate records of driving activities, including pre-start checks, logbooks, delivery receipts, and other documentation. • Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues. • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep vehicles in good working order. • Assist with safe site operations, including spotting, traffic awarness and general labouring support as directed. • Operate a variety of company vehicles as required. • Undertake other reasonable duties to support overall business operations. • Manual handling and loading of materials that cannot be mechanically lifted. • Safe use of chains, slings, and rigging equipment when loading and unloading materials. • Operating loaders or excavators where required, including loading your own vehicle when competent to do so. • General yard duties and maintenance when driving work is not required.

Job Requirements
• Valid commercial driver's licence (Class 4 or equivalent) with a clean driving record. • 1-2 years of experience operating commercial vehicle, preferably within transport or construction environments. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. • Good physical fitness and the ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy objects. • Ability to work independently and effectively work as part of a team in a busy site environment. • Knowledge of safe driving practices and familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations. • Must pass all pre-employment checks: police, drug and health tests. • Has own transportation to go to work.
