seeking an experienced Aluminium Welder (MIG & TIG) to join a specialist fabrication workshop building aluminium vessels. This role focuses on structural aluminium welding across hulls, decks, frames and other vessel components. The work requires precision, strong welding ability, and attention to finish and structural integrity.
Job Requirements
Duties Include MIG and TIG welding on aluminium plate and sections Structural welding on hulls, decks, frames and vessel components Fabrication and fit up from engineering drawings Working on new vessel builds and custom fabrication projects Maintaining high quality welding standards and consistency What We’re Looking For Proven experience welding aluminium using MIG and TIG Background in marine, boat building or heavy aluminium fabrication Confident working with aluminium plate and structural section Ability to read drawings and work independently Strong attention to weld quality and finish
Relevant / Desirable Qualifications Trade qualification in Welding / Fabrication or equivalent experience AS/NZS 2980 aluminium welding certification (advantageous) Experience welding to marine or structural vessel standards Site Safe (or willingness to obtain) Must have an updated CV
