Community Support Worker

Part-time Support Worker needed to cover the Ohakune area.

The role offers 10 hours guaranteed hours weekly to start, with the potential for additional hours after a few weeks.

They are looking for energetic and motivated people to support people in their own home. As a Support Worker you will be part of a team who will provide a safe environment where people can develop confidence and new skills, build friendships with peers and interact with others in the community. Personal care and toileting as well as home help management will be part of your daily routine.

To be considered you will need: • A valid visa to work in NZ • Previous healthcare or care-giving experience is not required • Minimum restricted driver licence and own vehicle • Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests. • Must pass all pre-employment checks including police vetting • Physically fit

You would need to be available for work during these days and hours: Monday to Friday and alternate weekends o Morning: 7:00am – 10:00am o Evening: 4:00pm – 7:00pm • Shifts will be split into 1 hour, 30min and 44 mins • Support Workers are paid for travel time between clients, except when travelling to the first and last clients of the day. Please note: The hours mentioned above represent the availability window rather than the exact hours worked. Clients will be scheduled within these timeframes.
