Class 2 Truck Driver
About this job
We are looking for a reliable Class 2 Truck Driver based in or around Blockhouse Bay.
• Load, unload, pack and secure furniture and freight safely following company and regulatory guidelines • Disassemble/reassemble furniture when required • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs • Adhere to all New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) regulations and Health & Safety protocols • Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage • Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to optimize route planning
Job Requirements
• Valid New Zealand Class 2 Driver’s License • Should know how to drive manual trucks • Experience in driving Class 2 vehicles • Proven ability to handle large freight, furniture, and heavy goods transport • Good knowledge of New Zealand road regulations and freight handling procedures • Strong attention to safety and compliance • Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules efficiently • Good communication skills and a professional attitude • Physically fit as heavy loading and unloading will be involved Ability to work a range of shift hours with out of town work • Reliable transport required to get to site
