Weekend Gallery/Gift Shop Retail Assistant

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Gallery & Gift Shop Retail Assistant to join our small team for one day per week on the weekend. This role is perfect for someone who loves the arts and enjoys engaging with people. As the welcoming face of the gallery shop, you will help visitors discover unique artworks and handcrafted items while creating a warm and positive visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities: • Open and operate the gallery gift shop on Sundays • Welcome and assist visitors, sharing information about artists and artworks • Process sales through the point-of-sale system and handle cash/card transactions • Maintain an attractive and well-organised shop display • Monitor and restock inventory as required • Provide general support to the gallery team during busy periods

Job Requirements
About You • Computer literacy • Passionate about art and creative communities • Enjoy talking with people and providing great customer service • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently • Retail or gallery experience is an advantage but not essential
