Commercial Cleaner

This role involves a wide range of cleaning tasks and requires someone who can work independently, think quickly, and maintain excellent attention to detail. rostered shifts 7 days a week from 4am to 12am

About the Role As a Commercial Cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained to a professional standard. Duties include: Key Responsibilities

Cleaning, dusting, and wiping furniture and fixtures Removing rubbish and recyclable materials; emptying containers, bins, and trays Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, laundry areas, and public spaces Operating commercial vacuum cleaners and other machines to clean floors and work areas Removing dust and dirt from ceilings, walls, overhead pipes, and fixtures Cleaning stairwells and lifts Carpet cleaning, floor buffing, scrubbing, stripping, and polishing Dusting shelves and other surfaces as needed Maintaining cleaning supplies in accordance with the Environmental Act 1991 Following correct colour coding procedures for cloths, mops, buckets, and contamination control Conducting cleaning verification checks to ensure quality standards Ensuring full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements and quality control Monitoring financial and contract performance while supporting continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have:

Ability to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays A valid New Zealand Driver Licence to travel between sites Good physical fitness and ability to lift up to 25kg Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment such as:

Floor scrubbers & buffers Carpet cleaning machines Steam cleaners Stripping & polishing equipment

Reliability, trustworthiness, and strong self motivation Ability to follow workplace health & safety requirements at all times
