Class 5 Truck Driver

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Class 5 Swing Lift Container Truck Driver a well-established transport company to join their transport operations. This role involves the delivery and placement of shipping containers to customers and ports across the North Island, with travel as far as the Bay of Plenty. Key Duties • Operate a Class 5 swing lift container truck safely and efficiently • Drive a manual 18-wheeler truck fitted with a Road Ranger gearbox • Deliver, collect, and position containers at customer sites and ports • Travel throughout the North Island as required by operational needs • Complete delivery paperwork and compliance documentation accurately • Provide a high level of customer service when dealing directly with clients • Comply with all company policies, road transport legislation, and health & safety requirements Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand. Skills & Experience Required • Full Class 5 driver licence with proven Swing lift driving experience • Demonstrated experience driving manual 18-wheeler trucks, including Road Ranger gearboxes (essential) • Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement – essential • Clean driving record • Physically fit and capable, as the role requires frequent entry and exit from the truck • Strong communication skills and a professional manner with customers • Ability to work independently and follow instructions Pre-Employment Requirements • Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) criminal history check • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
