Car Groomer

Seeking a reliable and hardworking Car Groomer / Vehicle Detailer to join our team in Ormiston . The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning, detailing, and presenting vehicles to a high standard for private and commercial customers. This role requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are professionally cleaned and well-presented for sale, rental, or customer delivery while maintaining workplace safety and service quality.

Key Responsibilities: • Inspect vehicles to identify areas requiring cleaning or detailing. • Consult with customers regarding detailing services and provide service information or quotes when required. • Wash and clean vehicle exteriors using appropriate cleaning products and equipment. • Vacuum, clean, and remove stains and odours from vehicle interiors including seats, carpets, and upholstery. • Clean and polish windows, mirrors, chrome, and other glass or metal surfaces. • Perform minor paint touch-ups to improve the appearance of vehicles. • Conduct final inspections to ensure vehicles are clean, well-presented, and ready for use, sale, or rental. • Identify any vehicle damage and report it to supervising staff. • Safely move, drive, and position vehicles within the premises, including wash bays or parking areas. • Assist with vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs, including transporting customers when required. • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure all equipment is used safely.

Full clean drivers licence required Able to pass an moj and drug check Clean and well presented with good communication skills Physical fitness: able to kneel, climb, bend, work outdoors in different weather • Previous experience in vehicle grooming/detailing or similar cleaning role preferred • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures. Skills and Competencies • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high presentation standards. • Good communication and customer service skills. • Reliable, responsible, and able to follow safety procedures. • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment. • Clean, professional personal presentation.

Experience Required • Minimum 6 month experience in vehicle grooming, detailing, or a similar cleaning role preferred. • Basic knowledge of vehicle cleaning products, chemicals, and safe handling procedures.

Physical Requirements • Physically fit and capable of manual tasks. • Ability to kneel, bend, climb, and work on feet for extended periods. • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Additional Requirements • Full clean driver licence required (Class 1 – Car Licence). • Confident and safe driver with the ability to move vehicles responsibly. • Must be reliable and punctual.

Work Schedule • Rostered Monday to Sunday • Five day working Two off • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
